These are my teenage nephews and nieces, left to right: Aldo, Sharrel, Lovey, Jody and Douglas. Aldo and Sharrel are best buddies as well as Jody and Douglas. I babysat Douglas when he was a few days old of ‘coz chaperoned by my mom. I remembered he was a big baby. I think I still have his baby pictures with me and I’ll scanned them if I’m in the mood J .
I was Aldo and Jody’s babysitter cum driver when they were children. I was thinking about it the other day while their mum drove me back to my workplace after our monthly lunch out. In fact Jody just on previous days told her mum that I was so ‘jahat’ to them when I was their driver… I laughed when their mum told me that. I think I can guess which part of ‘jahat’ she meant. I was doing my practical when I was assigned to be their driver. Of ‘coz being children after a day at school smelled of dirty socks and sweats so I often emm I meant always instructed them to open the windows wide to clear the smelly air and we don’t use the aircond as I’ll die because of the smell… hehehe… it’s not only those two kids *yeah, I still considered them as kids although they’re taller then me now* , but Lovey and Sharrel as well… Kids will be kids: their smell and all…
Looking them now, I’m so proud as they’ve grown well and their relationship with each other are strong. Take Jody and Douglas although they go to different school but when they meet with each other it as if they’ve never been parted with the never-ending story. I love to see them talk to each other and wished I had the same relationship with my first cousins. As far as I can remember, my cousin J and I were closed as kids because our family often went out together. Unfortunately we drifted apart because…
When you listen to their conversation not only among these teenagers but with all my nephews and nieces - they have the same way of talking… my sisters and I always talk about them during our monthly outing and laugh at the children hilarious and sometimes wild antics.
I dedicate this post to these five beautiful creations of GOD. I’m proud to have seen how all of you have grown and I pray that you will lead life as what God has intended it to be.
